Help! I Can't Get Inside.
Challenge
Stepping into your home is supposed to be easy. You walk in the doors or drive right into the garage with ease. Unfortunately, this home in Kitchener, Ontario, had a few hazardous ways of entering the garage and front door. The walkway and driveway are composed of large concrete slabs, and over the years, the soil's constant change in moisture caused the slabs to shift. As a result, the homeowners find it challenging to entertain since guests’ trip on the walkway and struggle to drive in the garage. The uneven slabs had to be fixed soon before they got worse.
Solution
Thankfully they came across Canadian Concrete Leveling. Our Project Manager, Andy Moncrieff, went to the home to better understand the hazards and provide a feasible solution without having the homeowners tear up the slabs and get new ones. In order to lift the slabs, a high-density polyurethane would have to be injected in the lowest points of each slab to permanently fill any voids between the soil and the concrete. Then, on a later day, our installation team, Kyle McKeown and Russell, got the work done. The benefits of our work: the process takes under an hour to complete, the injections are the size of a dime, it's non-invasive, and the clean-up is impeccable. The injection process only took 15 minutes to complete, and the slabs were lifted and levelled in seconds. With the five injections in place, the owners were pleased they didn't have to worry about any future tripping hazards from guests. Getting in and out will be a breeze now!
