Walking to the... Uh Oh!
Challenge
In Dutton, Ontario, the home had a client living in the basement. Unfortunately, the client who lived in the house had experienced many tripping incidents when using the walkway to the side door. No matter what time of day, the treacherous walkway was impossible to navigate, causing the tenant to use the grass and ruin their socks and footwear on rainy days. The concrete slabs had started sinking, causing them to be scattered in height. Tripping and even pooling would occur on this walkway, making it pointless to use. The landlords wanted to level the slabs without replacing them, especially with them being in good condition. After some research, the landlords found Canadian Concrete Leveling to do what they'd like.
Solution
After the initial call was made, we collaborated a day for one of our Project Managers, Andy Moncrieff, to come in and provide a solution for our worried tenant and landlord. Andy explained that our insulation team, Kyle and JP, will be drilling small injections, which would be the size of dimes. From there, they would inject our highly dense polyurethane into the lowest points of the slabs, which would then permanently lift the slabs to their original height. On a later day, our installation specialists came in to complete the work. Our work takes the same day, and our cleanup is impeccable to the point you can't even tell we've been there, only noticing that the slabs have been lifted. The invasion is very minimal, meaning that our work does not interrupt the foot traffic of the homeowners and tenants and doesn't destroy the concrete. The process only took about 20 minutes to complete, which blew our client's minds! Their "Uh Oh's" from tripping became "Oh Yes'" knowing that they could walk safely.
