Garage Walkway Sinking in Kitchener ON
Challenge
Problem
A sinking walkway in Kitchener, ON created two major issues the homeowners were worried about and knew they needed to fix. First, the sinking slabs created significant trip hazards. Next, the walkway slanted towards the home’s foundation. This encouraged rainwater or melting snow to drain into the gap between the house and the walkway. Left alone, this issue could mean water would leak into the basement over time.
Solution
Solution
The homeowners called our office for an appointment. Canadian Concrete Leveling’s experienced Project Manager inspected the concrete issues. They were excited to hear about our PolyLevel® Injection System. They learned that PolyLevel® is more effective than conventional methods, takes less time to install and less invasive to fix sinking concrete. The Project Manager also noticed several cracks in some of the slabs. He recommended our NexusPro® Sealant. It’s waterproof, chemical-resistant and prevents water from getting under the walkway potentially causing more problems down the road.
The PolyLevel® installation was finished in a couple of hours and was ready for foot-traffic within 15 minutes. The homeowners were relieved to regain their peace of mind knowing their family and friends would be safe walking along the side of the house again. They were excited to share their good news about the walkway repair to their neighbours.
