Water? No Problem!
Georgian Bay Islands National Park, ON
We are honoured and privileged to have been asked to help Parks Canada this past week with some infrastructure challenges on beautiful Beausoleil Island, Georgian Bay, ON - for the Georgian Bay Islands National Park. We helped park staff void fill and stabilize a slab-on-grade pump house floor, which over the years had voids develop under the concrete floor of the pump house. This structure housed several large water tanks that were used for water distribution throughout the park. The weight of the tanks when filled and in use was a concern for the staff, BUT that was only part of the challenge! Getting there required our crew to load our production truck into a local barging contractor's barge and get across Honey Harbour to the park. No challenge is too big for the CCL crew and staff! Thank you to Parks Canada for the call and all the help getting this project completed in one day with full use of the pump house and water system restored as soon as we were done.
