Photo Album: Sinking Pool Deck Threatens Family in Mississauga, Ontario
A pool is a great way to cool off and relax in the summer, and where you can find a pool, you can usually find a concrete patio surrounding it.
A customer in Mississauga, Ontario, noticed their pool deck was starting to sink. He was concerned with his family’s safety and wanted any tripping hazards removed but wasn’t looking forward to tearing up hundreds of pounds of concrete.
He reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling and met with Project Manager Joe McColl. Joe showed him our unique PolyLevel® system and a date was set for the repair.
Foreman Kyle McKeown injected our high-density polyurethane beneath the slabs to lift them. Our polymer expands as it’s installed, supporting the concrete and compacting the fill soils.
The customer is happy that he can safely enjoy his pool again. His family is protected, and he saved thousands of dollars using Canadian Concrete Leveling.
Pool Deck Before
Pool decks are especially susceptible to sinking due to the extra water, and the fact the concrete is usually built on loose fill soils excavated from the pool area
Tripping Hazards After
Now that we've repaired the concrete the pool deck is safer than ever before
Tripping Hazards Before
Tripping hazards covered most of the pool deck. While the pool was still usable, the concrete created a threat to anyone using it, especially when the deck became wet
Pool Deck After
The customer and his family are free to use the pool without having to worry, and the work is warrantied for extra peace of mind
