Photo Album: Sinking Concrete Puts Shed Restoration on Hold in Whitby, Ontario
Everyone has them; the things around the house you’ve meant to do for years but have been putting off. For some people, it’s painting the walls or replacing the floors, while for others, it’s a complete restoration.
A couple in Whitby, Ontario, has a small garden shed in their backyard that they’ve fallen in love with over the years. It’s small, quaint, and needed some work, but they adored it nonetheless. When they were planning on restoring the shed to its former glory, they noticed it leaning one direction. The concrete slab the shed sits on had settled on one side, and the pathway surrounding it had some significant tripping hazards as well.
Looking to straighten the shed before renovating, the customers reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling. They met with Project Manager Paul Mendell, and Paul inspected the shed. A plan was set for the repairs, and Foreman Bill McKeown worked hard leveling the concrete.
Bill used our PolyLevel® high-density polyurethane by injecting it beneath the concrete. PolyLevel® expands when it is injected, lifting the slab and compressing any soils below.
The customer is thrilled with the work done. He’s happy that he can finally start to restore his shed, knowing it is stable and safe.
