Photo Album: Sinking Concrete Leads to a Dangerous Walkway in Bradford, Ontario

Following building codes is something familiar to any contractor. These codes are in place for a reason and following them ensures the safety of whoever ends up using the building.  But what happens when something falls out of code on its own? A customer in Bradford, Ontario, learned just how easily this could happen when his front steps started sinking. The entire walkway was full of tripping hazards, and the step had settled so much it was no longer to code. To top it off, moisture was even getting beneath the concrete slabs. Frustrated and tired of dealing with the hazards, the customer reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling and met with Project Manager Paul Mendell. Paul inspected the walkway and showed the customer our techniques for repairing concrete. The customer was happy to hear we could fix the problem, and a date was set for the repair.  Foreman Kyle McKeown started by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete. He injected our PolyLevel® polyurethane through these holes to lift and level the concrete slabs. To prevent any moisture from seeping through, Kyle used our NexusPro® sealant to seal the cracks in the concrete. The customer is delighted that his walkway is fixed. The steps are back to code, and he can safely walk to his front door again.
