Photo Album: Sinking Driveway Leads to Snow Shovelling Injury in Burlington, Ontario
Snow shovelling and Canadian winters are synonymous with each other. We’ve all had to go out early in the morning or late at night and clear the driveway, and we all know that nothing is worse than when your shovel catches an edge.
A customer in Burlington, Ontario, has a concrete driveway that has shifted and settled over the years. He was shovelling during the winter when he hurt his shoulder after the shovel caught an edge. His neighbours had recently had us repair their driveway, so the customer decided it was time for him to do the same.
The homeowner met with Project Manager Paul Mendell, and they reviewed the problem areas before setting up a date for the repair. Foreman Kyle McKeown drilled several dime-sized holes throughout the driveway to use as injection sites. He injected our PolyLevel® high-density polyurethane to lift and level the concrete. Kyle also used our NexusPro® sealant to seal any cracks.
The customer is thrilled that his driveway is level. Not only can he shovel safely now, but his driveway is protected from further settlement.
