Photo Album: Two-Year Old Concrete Sinking in Hanover, Ontario
Building codes are tedious for builders to deal with, but they’re there for a reason. We have to abide by them, and if something changes, we typically have to update our homes.
A builder in Hanover, Ontario, reached out to us to deal with sinking concrete at one of his newer builds. The homeowner called him after she noticed the settlement, so the builder gave us a call rather than ripping out the concrete and redoing it.
Project Manager Paul Mendell met with the builder, and he was shocked and happy to see how our solution would work. He eagerly set up a date for the repair, and Foreman Kyle McKeown used our PolyLevel® solution to lift and level the concrete.
The homeowner is thrilled with the work and knows exactly who to call if this issue happens with another build. The homeowner has peace of mind again too and appreciates the work done by the entire CCL team.

Not only did we lift the concrete, but we filled any voids beneath as well, preventing the issue from returning
Front Steps After
These steps had settled to the point they were no longer to code
Driveway Before
Voids beneath the concrete led to the driveway slabs sinking
Driveway After
We brought the slabs directly in front of the garage back to the garage floor grade
