Photo Album: Pooling Water Threatens Customers in Ajax, Ontario
Keeping a business safe and accessible for customers is vital to a successful company.
A property manager in Ajax, Ontario, reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling after a complaint from one of his tenants. The concrete slabs right outside of the door were sinking, and water was constantly pooling and freezing in front of the doors, and during heavy rains water actually made it into the store.
The project manager met with Project Manager Kyle O’Brien and Kyle inspected the walkway. He showed the customer our solution for repairing the concrete and a date was set for the repair.
Our foreman worked hard repairing the concrete by injecting our high-density polyurethane, PolyLevel®, beneath the concrete slabs. This compresses any fill soils below to prevent the issue from returning while lifting the concrete back to an even grade.
The property manager and his tenant are very happy with the work completed. They can open their doors to customers again without having to worry.
Tripping Hazards
Right where customers entered the establishment there were several tripping hazards
Pooling Ice
This was a common sight at the location during the winter
Sloped Walkway
Most of the concrete slabs had a slope towards the doors
Pooling Water
With a level, it was clear to see how easily the water pooled on the walkway
