Photo Album: Heavy Pool Use Leads to Pool Deck Repair in Brampton, Ontario
In 2020, having a backyard pool is like hitting a gold mine. Pool companies are backed up for months, and everyone is looking for something to do without going anywhere.
A customer in Brampton, Ontario, knew how much his family would be using the pool this summer, but there was a problem. A few spots around his pool deck were sinking and cracking, and he was concerned someone would trip and possibly get hurt.
After seeing our PolyLevel® System in action through a Facebook ad, the customer decided to reach out to Canadian Concrete Leveling. Project Manager Joe McColl travelled to the customer’s home, where he inspected the pool deck. Joe determined that fill materials beneath the slabs had washed away or shifted, which created several gaps. These cavities made room for the concrete about to sink.
The customer had already seen our system first-hand, so he knew what he was getting into when Foreman Mark Sealy arrived for the repair. Mark used dime-sized holes to inject our high-density polyurethane. He carefully brought the concrete back to grade before patching the holes with fresh concrete.
The customer can’t wait to spend the summer in the backyard with his family. They have a beautiful pool and backyard space to use, and better yet, it's safe as can be.

Sinking Slab After
As we lifted the concrete, the slab settled back against the pool coping, protecting the integrity of the liner
Corner Before
This corner was a high traffic area, and the sinking allowed water to seep between the deck and pool coping
Corner After
Lifting the concrete brought the slab back into the correct position, preventing water from seeping between the coping and concrete
