Photo Album: Customer Wants to Make Pool Safe in Mississauga, Ontario
2020 has been a unique year for everyone. We’ve seen tragedy strike across the globe, people come together like never before, and everyone was home a little more than they wanted to be.
This led to many of our customers reaching out about renovating their backyard. With all the time spent outdoors this year, it was no surprise that pools became a top priority for many clients.
In Mississauga, Ontario, a homeowner called Canadian Concrete Leveling about dealing with her sinking pool deck. The concrete had settled all over the patio, and she was concerned about a family member tripping.
Project Manager Joe McColl met with the homeowner and inspected the pool area. Joe explained to the customer how poor fill soils could wash away over time and cause concrete to sink. She was worried about the disruption the repair would cause at her home before Joe explained how our system works. PolyLevel® comes in through a 300-ft hose and is injected beneath the concrete. Once injected the polymers mix and expand, lifting the slab above.
Foreman Bill McKeown started the repair by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete surface. He used these as injection ports. Once Bill lifted the slab back to grade, he patched the holes with fresh concrete. The customer always chose to seal the seams with our NexusPro® System. Bill installed our NexusPro® Sealant System over any cracks and seams, providing a watertight seal.
The customer can’t believe how quickly we were able to repair her pool deck. She was happy no heavy machinery was brought through her yard and that we were done in less than a day’s work.
