Photo Album: Side Walkway & Front Porch are Sinking in Brampton, Ontario
In Brampton, Ontario, a home had sinking concrete on both sides of the property. The first noticeable side was the front porch since it gets used the most. The next side was the side walkway where the concrete walkway started to separate from the home leaving a gap heading into the foundation. Sealant and levelling are necessary in order to have this property safe and to not have the concrete deteriorate more than it already has.
Our Project Manager, Julio Soley, came to the home and examined the sides of the concrete. He pin pointed the spots that would require polyurethane injections and explained to the homeowners what our product does. With that being explained, he took them to the other side of the home where the sepeartion was. Levelling would need to be done but sealant is a must in this sector too. The sealant we use is non-drying, anti-cracking, and malleable to fit into any joint with no hassle. On a later day our Installation Specialist, Bill McKeown came to fix this patio and side once and for all! This is how it went...
A Close Look At The Steps
This is a glimpse at how the steps sat before we arrived.
Foundation Exposure!
The steps had started to sink so much that was revealing the foundation. Foundation exposure will allow elements to eat away at it causing it to crack and weaken.
Time to raise!
The injection holes were made, now it's time to lift these and seal them.
Just like that
The steps are now sealed and levelled to their original height.
Coming along very well
The sealant on the joint underneath the porch really blends in with the colour of the concrete.
The Separation
The side walkway that was separating from the wall.
How Big is The Separation?
The separation is an inch and a bit away from the wall and needs to be sealed immediately.
Easy Does It
Our NexusPro® sealant saving the day.
Cant Forget the Corner
The same corner needed that love from the sealant too.
What and where?
Here is our schematic as to what was done and where around the house it took place.
