Photo Album: Slabbed Driveway Needs Levelling Love, Listowel ON
This beautiful home in Listowel, Ontario, had a driveway that settled to the point that the garage developed a lip, tripping hazards formed, and the concrete had swooped so low that water started to build up near the foundation of the home. The homeowners were worried about two things, the tripping of guests that had visited and the fact that the water would eat away at the foundation. They wanted to find a solution that would not involve re-pouring concrete and have minimal curing time because they often come and go from the house throughout the day.
After a strong referral from a friend who was our customer, the homeowners called us to inquire about our work. After the call, we sent out our experienced Project Manager, Andy Moncrieff, who arrived at the home to begin his estimate. He quoted the homeowners for our polyurethane injections around the driveway and near the garage door to prevent the lip from entering and leaving home. On a later day, our installation duo Kyle and JP arrived to complete the work. Here is their work from start to finish.
Top Down
The angle from the top of the driveway. Look between the joints, the concrete is raised and lowered in all different directions.
The driveway lip.
Notice how the concrete edge is a lot bigger because of the sinking driveway.
Foundation is exposed!
Look at the bottom right at the base of the steps, the concrete had started to sink so much that the foundation was starting to show.
