In Wellesley, Ontario, a pair of homeowners had a garage threshold that became a tripping hazard and a nuisance to drive over. The driveway had started to sink, making the garage entry stand out by a few inches. During wet days, water would pool up, and a mini-ice patch would form as temperatures dropped. A solution was essential before the colder months came around. Without replacing the top half of the great conditioned driveway, the homeowners reached out to our team at Canadian Concrete Leveling. Our Project Manager, Tim Rector, made an appearance to show what solution he has in play. The approach was to inject the sinking portions of the driveway with our PolyLevel® system. This system uses a high-density polyurethane that doubles in size once it solidifies, which helps fill all the voids underneath the concrete and promotes lifting. PolyLevel® is an efficient yet minimally invasive solution compared to others. After Tim made the schematics, our installation duo got the go-ahead to begin levelling on a later date that worked best for the homeowners. Our Installation Supervisor, Kyle McKeown, and Installation Specialist, Nestor Cabrera worked meticulously to level the driveway and eliminate the bothersome threshold. These are the results:
