Fixed Garage Crack, Richmond Hill, ON
Challenge
A homeowner in Richmond Hill, Ontario had a large crack across their garage floor. The concrete had settled quite a bit creating a large crack and tripping hazard. There were many other hollow spots under the floor where the slab had not yet settled. The crack in the floor was allowing water to go through and wash out the soil underneath. This made the concrete sink even more. The homeowner was trying to sell the property and was quite worried that the state of the garage floor would discourage potential buyers.
Solution
The homeowner called Canadian Concrete Leveling to find out if we had a solution for their garage floor. We did!
Kyle McKeown and Steve Langton used our PolyLevel Injection System and NexusPro Joint Sealant. PolyLevel is injected beneath the concrete to lift and level the slabs. Our expanding polyurethane compresses the substrate and then lifts the concrete ensuring the area is protected from settling further. NexusPro is the finishing touch sealing joints and cracks.
The team drilled dime-sized holes through the concrete and injected the polyurethane under the slabs filling all the voids and lifting and leveling the slabs. The homeowner was extremely happy with the work Kyle and Steve did on the garage floor – it looked better than they ever imagined it could. They were also quite happy to know that we warranty the area for 10 years.
