Clothes Dryer Rattles Concrete Floor in Toronto, Ontario
Challenge
The sound of a clothes dryer is pretty recognizable for many people. The sound of clothes banging around is hard to miss and can sometimes be pretty annoying.
A customer in Toronto, Ontario, had a commercial dryer that was out of control. Every time it was used, the entire floor rattled, and he was concerned if the machine and floor would be damaged. He wanted to have the concrete repaired before it was too late, so he reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling and met with Project Manager Joe McColl.
Joe inspected the laundry room and discovered a large void beneath the floor. He showed the customer our solution, and a date was set for Foreman Bill McKeown to complete the repair.
Solution
Bill drilled dime-sized holes in the floor used as injection ports for our PolyLevel® high-density polyurethane solution. As the solution is injected, it expands beneath the concrete, filling any voids and compressing the substrate below.
The customer is very happy with the final result. His machine no longer sounds like it's about to fall over, and his floor is protected from the dryer's weight.
