Broken Sewage Line Vacates Home and Creates a Floor Void in Bowmanville, Ontario
Challenge
Buying a home for your family is an exciting time, but that excitement can quickly turn to anxiety if you run into a problem that forces you out of your new home.
A customer in Bowmanville, Ontario, gave us a call as she was going through a very stressful situation. She had just moved into a new home with her kids when she discovered sewage flies coming from the floor. Horrified, she did some investigating and found a burst sewage pipe beneath the floor of her home.
Unfortunately, she had to move herself and her two kids back to her parent’s house. She called a plumber to deal with the pipe, but she needed to deal with the large void before she could move back in.
Solution
Project Manager Kyle O’Brien met with the customer at her new home. He showed her how we could fill the void beneath her floor, and she was happy to hear some good news finally. Foreman Bill McKeown used our PolyLevel® high-density polyurethane to fill the void beneath the floor and compress the fill soils below.
The customer is happy to finally be able to move into her new home without worrying about her kids and herself.
