Sinking Concrete Takes Away from Home's Aesthetic in Mississauga, Ontario
Challenge
When you install something new at your home, the last thing you want to do is make another repair right away.
A couple in Mississauga, Ontario, just added beautiful new front steps at their home. They soon noticed the concrete was sinking in front of the steps and a few spots along the side walkway. The homeowners were so upset, thinking they would need to fix the trip hazards and possibly replace the whole walkway. It was important to them to make sure their front walkway was safe for family and friends. So, they called Canadian Concrete Leveling to schedule an inspection and free estimate.
The homeowners met with Project Manager Kyle O’Brien. Kyle checked out the concrete walkway and area around the steps. He went through our PolyLevel® System features and explained how it would lift and level the slabs without replacing the walkway.
Solution
Foreman Mark Sealy started the installation by drilling dime-sized holes into the concrete. Through these ports, he injected our high-density polyurethane. The product expands beneath the slabs to lift and level the concrete while compressing fill soils simultaneously. Mark patched the holes with fresh concrete.
The couple couldn’t be happier that they called Canadian Concrete Leveling to fix their sinking concrete. Redoing the whole walkway was avoided completely. They were amazed at how our non-invasive PolyLevel® System worked with the existing concrete exactly how Kyle described – trip hazards totally eliminated!
