Garage Floor Cracks and Sinks in Barrie, Ontario
Challenge
A garage has many different uses. Some people use them strictly for storage, others for an extra rec room. Many people actually park their vehicles in the garage to protect them from the weather.
A customer in Barrie, Ontario, reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling after noticing the crack in his garage floor was getting worse. One section was sinking, and he thought he would have to redo the entire floor. This wasn’t an expense or a disruption he wanted to deal with, so he searched for an alternative.
Solution
Project Manager Joe McColl met with the homeowner and inspected the garage. Joe explained to him how voids beneath the floor could lead to the concrete sinking. He showed the customer a video that demonstrates our PolyLevel® and NexusPro® Systems. After meeting with Joe, the customer was ready to bring in our crew for the repair.
Foreman Kyle McKeown started the repair by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete to use as injection ports. When PolyLevel® is injected, it expands to compress fill materials and lift the concrete. Once the floor was back to a level grade, Kyle sealed the cracks with NexusPro® Sealant.
The customer can’t believe that our solution even exists. He saved thousands not ripping up the concrete but still has a safe, stabilized garage floor.
