Sinking Pool Deck Takes Away from Beautiful Backyard in Hampton, Ontario
Challenge
When things are slow, and there isn’t much to do, you turn to your dwelling. There is always something to do around the house, and downtime can even lead to a renovation.
A couple in Hampton, Ontario, decided they wanted to redo their backyard. They were planning on doing some landscaping and installing a new deck but figured their sinking concrete would be an eyesore when the work was done. They decided to reach out to Canadian Concrete Leveling for a solution.
The customers didn’t want to redo the poured concrete and were delighted to hear from Project Manager Kyle O’Brien that they wouldn’t have to. Kyle walked them through how our PolyLevel® System could lift and level the concrete back to a level grade with little disruption. They were happy to hear we didn’t require heavy machinery, saving them from further landscaping costs.
Solution
Foreman Kyle McKeown started the repair by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete surface. He used these holes as injection ports for our high-density polyurethane injections. As the solution is installed beneath the surface, it expands, lifting the slab and filling in any gaps. This process also compresses the ground below, preventing the issue from returning. Once Kyle was finished, he patched the holes with fresh concrete.
The couple is very happy they were able to repair their concrete in such an easy way. They have a solution that will last, and they’re looking forward to finishing their backyard.
