Sinking Pool Deck Threatens Grandkids in Whitby, Ontario

When you have a pool, you hope you can get many years of enjoyment from it. They aren’t a cheap investment but are worth it for the years of joy they bring.
A couple in Whitby, Ontario, has lived in their home for years. They enjoy using their pool with family and friends, and now they love splashing around with their grandkids.
Over the years, a few tripping hazards have formed. The slabs around the pool had settled and cracked in a few spots. The couple was concerned whenever their grandchildren were over, and they had to remind friends to watch their step.
Hoping to repair the concrete before it got worse, the homeowners decided to reach out to Canadian Concrete Leveling. Project Manager Kyle O’Brien met with the clients and inspected the backyard.
Solution
Kyle determined that gaps beneath the concrete led to the sinking. He explained to the customers how our PolyLevel® System could lift the slabs back to grade using high-density polyurethane. As the solution is injected, it expands below the concrete to lift the slab and compress fill material. Kyle also told the couple about our UV-resistant, waterproof NexusPro® Sealant System.
Foreman Kyle McKeown started the repair by drilling dime-sized injection port holes. He installed PolyLevel® through the holes before sealing any cracks with our NexusPro® System. Once the repair was complete, Kyle patched the holes with fresh concrete.
The couple is thrilled that they found a non-invasive solution for repairing their concrete pool deck. They can’t wait to have the grandkids over for a pool day, and their pool is ready for many more years of use.
