Concrete Repair Needed Before Selling Parent's Home in Cobourg, Ontario
Challenge
When you inherit or take over the care of a house, you never really know what you’re in for until you get down into the nitty-gritty.
A customer in Cobourg, Ontario, was taking care of selling her parent’s house after they moved to a retirement residence. She wanted to get them as much value as possible, and the first step was repairing several areas where concrete floors were sinking. The customer didn’t know how she could repair the slabs without spending thousands on excavating, so she was pleasantly surprised after meeting with Project Manager Kyle O’Brien.
Solution
Kyle explained how our PolyLevel® System uses expanding polyurethane to lift sinking concrete. He explained how our technique is minimally invasive, and the customer decided this was exactly what the home needed.
Foreman Kyle McKeown started by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete surface to use as injection ports. He carefully installed our high-density polyurethane, monitoring the concrete as it was lifted. After the repair was complete, Kyle patched the holes with fresh concrete.
The customer is delighted that she discovered Canadian Concrete Leveling. She saved time and money using our non-disruptive solution, and her parents can get top dollar from the sale of their home.
