Animals Create Void Beneath Brand-New Pool Deck in Bolton, Ontario
Challenge
When you have work done at your home, the last thing you want to do is bring someone else in a few months later to fix it.
A customer in Bolton, Ontario, recently had a new concrete pool deck installed, but animals quickly decided that it would make a nice home. They dug out a massive void along the one side, causing the patio to sink. The customer was concerned the concrete would collapse, so he reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling.
Solution
Project Manager Matt McCullough met with the customer and inspected the pool deck. Matt explained how we could use our PolyLevel® System to fill the void. PolyLevel® consists of two polymers that expand when they’re mixed, filling voids and lifting concrete slabs.
Foreman Bill McKeown drilled dime-sized holes on the concrete surface to use PolyLevel® to fill the voids closest to the pool. Bill was able to avoid drilling when filling the edge, instead, injecting directly through the void to fill the space from both sides.
The customer is relieved to have his pool deck repaired, and he appreciates the timeliness and clean work from the Canadian Concrete Leveling team.
