Proximity to Lake Ontario Leads to Soil Washout in Pickering, Ontario

Challenge

Improving the curb appeal of your home can take more than just some flowers and bushes. In some instances, it means bringing in professionals.

A couple in Pickering, Ontario, reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling to maintain the integrity of their historic home. They lived down near Lake Ontario, and the increase in groundwater led to soil washing away from beneath their walkway.

Solution

The anxious couple met with Director of Sales Matt McCullough to address the situation. Matt explained to them how our PolyLevel® System uses expanding polyurethane injections to lift concrete slabs, while our NexusPro® Sealant would keep out water and debris from the cracks and seams.

Foreman Kyle McKeown used dime-sized holes where injection ports were placed to install our PolyLevel® System. The polyurethane expands to fill any voids as well, preventing the issue from returning. Once we repaired the slabs, Kyle installed our UV-resistant sealant, NexusPro®.
