Sinking Step No Longer to Code in Toronto, Ontario
Challenge
Building codes are something we all need to follow, and for a good reason. They ensure safety and consistency, so there are never any surprises.
A customer in Toronto, Ontario, had a sinking back step that was no longer to code. He was concerned about people using the steep step, and he knew water was seeping down near his foundation.
Solution
He reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling and met with Director of Sales Matt McCullough. Matt explained how we use expanding polyurethane injections to lift sinking concrete before sealing out water with durable, UV-resistant sealant.
Foreman Kyle McKeown started his repair by installing the high-density polyurethane, PolyLevel®. As the solution is injected and expands, it lifts the concrete above while filling in voids below. Once that portion was complete, Kyle sealed out moisture with our NexusPro® Sealant.
The customer is pleased that his back step is safe once again, and he was blown away by how “cool” the process was.
