Tripping up on Liabilities
Challenge
Moving and shifting are common things concrete loves to do. Over the years, this city sidewalk suffered from soil erosion. A city usually owns these walkways, but when placed in front of a property, it is the property owner's responsibility to make sure it is functional and safe. Here in London, Ontario, one of the local community centres was dealing with a sinking sidewalk. Various slanted slabs were sinking creating many tripping hazards. With it being the responsibility of the community centre, our clients on Colborne Street were nervous they could be liable for any falls or trips on the walkway. With issues of ponding and ice buildup during off-seasons affecting foot traffic by elderly folk and day-to-day staff, our clients reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling. Our Project Manager Andy Moncrieff met with our client to find a solution to help the community centre.
Solution
PolyLevel® is a technology we, at Canada Concrete Leveling, stand by. Analyzing the sinking walkway, expert foreman Kyle McKeown and his team started the installation. With simple dime-sized holes, Kyle injected our patented PolyLevel® solution into the concrete slabs. You would not be able to tell that this was a time-efficient and cost-effective project. The whole process lifted and levelled the walkway slabs without compromising existing foot traffic. We are proud to complete jobs without causing any delays in your daily routine. Our exclusive PolyLevel® material cures in approximately 60 minutes versus the average concrete solution that requires 24-72 hours. Our community centre client was ecstatic with their visibly pleasing yet functional walkway. All liabilities are left at bay!
