Sinking Concrete Nightmare
Challenge
Hanover. What a quaint little town of just under 10,000 people populating it. Many homes in Hanover have large driveways and porches destined to experience cracking, shifting, and sinking. Our client was dealing with a sloped bottom step on their porch and an inch-tall threshold between the driveway and the garage. Unfortunately, the driveway started to descend on the top right sector, resulting in the threshold being more noticeable on the one side than on the left. With wet weather being applied, puddles on the concrete creating an icy patch making it challenging to enter and leave the driveway. This is no extraordinary job for CCL.
Solution
Paul Mendell assisted the kind clients with a plan on how he would get the job done. Polylevel® is a permanent injection fix with little to no disruption of the existing concrete. Installation foreman, Bill McKeown, started with small injections just a foot before the problematic point, allowing the void underneath to be filled and the concrete to lift to the desired height. The polymer is lightweight compared to the standard concrete filler and takes a fraction of the time to cure so that our client can use the driveway and walkway almost immediately!
With worries lifted, our client was astonished by our service from the time it saved, the unbeatable cost, and Paul and Bill's knowledge. Furthermore, with Hanover’s properties being more prominent than the average suburban home, Polylevel® fixed any blemishes, nowmaking it an incredible entrance for their home!
