What an Eyesore!
Challenge
Many homeowners take pride in interior renovations and tend to forget about how their house looks on the outside. We understand that it's about beauty on the inside, not the outside, but in this case, a beautiful staircase in Gormley, Ontario, had some trouble. Our client started experiencing sinking steps, and a crack formed on top of the flagstone. In addition, the shift in the staircase made it a tripping hazard for frequent visitors like the mailman and family members; this had to be fixed ASAP!
Solution
Project Manager Kyle O'Brien knew a method that could be minimally invasive, and a long-term solution called Polylevel®. This expandable polymer fills cracks or voids in your receding concrete and lifts it to a levelled height. Installation foreman Billy filled the gaps with Polylevel® to the desired size and sealed the cracks with Nexus Pro®. Nexus Pro® is a silicone-based sealer that binds the concrete together while providing a malleable and sun-protected finish. The process took just over an hour to install, cure, and clean up, leaving our client amazed by our work. As a result, our Gormley client can now continue renovating other spots in his home, knowing that the front staircase is repaired and looking fantastic for any passerby!
