Sinking Driveway Blues
Challenge
There are a lot of beautiful homes in Barrie. What's not so beautiful is a non-functional driveway leading into the garage. Our clients were having trouble with sinking concrete on the threshold, leaving a lip of four inches. The problematic point of this is the hazards of tripping and wearing suspension of vehicles and water/ice pooling. The ice pooling was tricky for cars to enter the garage because they would lose traction, causing the car to jolt forward into the garage uncontrollably. They found Canadian Concrete Leveling to do the work by doing some research.
Solution
Paul Mendell arrived, scoped out the work needed, and brought up our PolyLevel® injection method. The injection is a high-density polyurethane that fills any voids and lifts the concrete to your preferred height. Installation foreman Kyle McKeown made the dime-sized incisions where the concrete's lowest points were. With the injections raising the driveway immediately, the process took only less than fifteen minutes. The stellar part of our PolyLevel® is that it completely cures within one hour.
The homeowners now had peace of mind knowing the hazards had been alleviated. The car could now be safely put in the garage, and no one will be tripping on the threshold anymore. They were also highly impressed that the CCL process was fast, non-invasive, clean, and cost-effective. Turning frowns upside down, this driveway is leveled!
