Down She Goes!
Challenge
Sure, driveways are supposed to slope downward, but to the side? That's a little unorthodox. Our client in Oakville, Ontario, had a sloping driveway in two directions. On wet days, water would slip off the driveway, away from the house, but on the snowy days, it was almost impossible to shovel. To benefit the homeowners in the winter season, they want an option to level the concrete to its original position. They found Canadian Concrete Leveling and saw an excellent opportunity to spend money on levelling the concrete instead of getting new slabs laid.
Solution
Our Project Manager Danny Dos Santos took a look at the driveway. He suggested that PolyLevel® Injections can be placed on the sinking sides of the slabs to lift them evenly and not interrupt the natural slope of the driveway. On a later day, Installation Specialist, Bill McKeown, went to the home and started the process. Our high-density polyurethane can lift any slab easily and is light enough to add weight below. The job was completed within 15 minutes and took 60 minutes to cure correctly. The driveway had tiny dime-sized incisions where the injections took place but left the slabs unscathed. The homeowners were thrilled to use the driveway and not worry about spending extra time shovelling during the winter seasons.
