Small Town Hiccups
Challenge
Long day after work, you're pulling into your garage, and you stop. You could've sworn you're accelerating; still nothing. You give it a bit more gas, and you lunge forward out of control over a bump and into the garage. You get out and realize that you have a sinking driveway which caused a lip in the threshold of the garage to form. You don't second guess the lip and proceed to the front door until you trip forward and drop your work bag on the floor that has your laptop in it. You notice now you have a sinking walkway that caused your front step to elongate! It's time to fix this once and for all. A home in LaSalle, Ontario, had this happen, and it made them worry that more tripping could happen to them or the guests they entertain. To prevent any trips or injuries, they contacted Canadian Concrete Leveling.
Solution
Andy Moncrieff, our Project Manager, made it to the home and examined the sinking spots on the property. The concrete would have to be lifted via PolyLevel® injections and sealed up with our NexusPro® sealant. Kyle and Russell, our installation team, came on a later day to start the levelling process. The setup took little to no time, which did not disrupt the foot traffic of the home. The two then started the injections, only taking minutes to lift all the sinking spots. The high-density polyurethane fills up voids and cures almost immediately. It is recommended that there should be a 60-minute curing time just as a precaution, but the levelled surfaces can be used almost right away. Now to the NexusPro® sealant. NexusPro® is a malleable, permanent sealant that will never crack from drying out, sun dye, let water in, or react poorly to chemicals.
With the combination of PolyLevel® and NexusPro®, the concrete driveway and step are permanently lifted and sealed off from the elements! As a result, the homeowners were ecstatic that they could navigate the home without worrying about them or guests tripping over these hiccups!
