Don't Let Concrete Deceive You
Challenge
Lounge by the pool. It's that time of the season. When you uncover the pool, walk around the perimeter, and take the tarp off, you suddenly trip over a large crack. Your concrete is sinking to the point where anyone could trip and hurt themselves poolside. This pool deck in Mississauga, Ontario, was sinking right by the hot tub, which was located on the outskirts of the backyard. The homeowners neglected that area since it was out of the usual foot traffic, but the tripping hazards occurred when the pool was uncovered for the season. They wanted to save the concrete deck without having to replace it, setting up the pool is expensive.
Solution
The homeowners contacted Canadian Concrete Leveling. An appointment was made with Project Manager, Danny Dos Santos. Danny broke down what was going to be fixed, how long it would take, what would be used in the Project Proposal. With such a detailed report, the homeowners fully trusted our process and procedures and agreed to go through with the work. Our Production Supervisor, Bill McKeown, went to the home on the scheduled production day to start the job. He lifted the concrete using our polyurethane injection method known as PolyLevel®. This high-density polyurethane lifts the concrete almost immediately and fills all voids underneath. The poly is lightweight and long-lasting, so you don’t have to worry about getting the concrete re-touched in the future. We stand by our one-time visits, so homeowners are satisfied the first time.
The injections impressed the homeowners in many ways from the speed it took, the professionalism, the effective cost, and the little to no cure time. The hot tub is usable once again. Don't let minor cracks in your concrete deceive you!
