Look Out Everywhere!
Challenge
Having a home that is reliable and safe is essential. The concrete around the house had shifted in Hamilton, Ontario, revealing various tripping points, starting with the driveway. First, the concrete slabbed driveway had moved to the point of creating falling hazards. The concrete settling and the constant pressure from cars and foot traffic caused the soil underneath to shift the slaB. Now moving on to the second problem. The front porch began sinking, making the step into the home much more prominent than usual. The homeowners are older, so navigating the driveway and porch is challenging. The concrete is in excellent condition and needs a lift back into its original position.
Solution
Our worrisome elder homeowners were looking for a company that can save their concrete and lift theirs quickly, non-invasively, and will be cost-effective. With little to no research, Canadian Concrete Leveling was found, and they can complete the job within the same day. After the appointment was made with our fantastic Project Manager, Matt Ruskin, to get a quote, the work was ready to be completed. Later that week, our Installation Specialist, Bill McKeown, arrived at the home to start the levelling process. He began drilling small dime-sized holes into the lowest points of the concrete, preparing it for our PolyLevel® injections caps that will be hammered in. After the lids are hammered in, the concrete is ready to be levelled. At Canadian Concrete Leveling, we use a high-density polyurethane that will lift any concrete surface by filling the voids underneath and continue to expand to aid the concrete upwards. Once the polyurethane injections are completed, the dime-sized holes are then sealed off using our high-grade sealant we refer to as NexusPro®. Not only is the home's concrete levelled, but the holes are unnoticeable, leaving the house looking sharp!
