Back Patio? More like Down Patio
Challenge
Making your home appealing from the inside is easy; some paint, décor, and plants can elevate your interior living. However, the outside care of your home can be more challenging. A house in Brampton, Ontario, had a back patio sink due to soil erosion. The homeowners had a sense of urgency to fix the sinking back step since it has gotten larger and has now become an eyesore. With the concrete in good condition, the homeowners wanted to lift the concrete without repouring or getting more concrete added on top. The homeowners found Canadian Concrete Leveling to do the work with minimal research.
Solution
Once the owners called the office, we scheduled a day for our Project Manager, Julio Soley, to arrive at the home to give an accurate and honest estimate. Once they agreed on the assessment, our Installation duo Aidan and Bill came on-site to begin the work. The process starts by drilling dime-sized holes in the lowest parts of the concrete. Once the holes are in place, metal caps are hammered in so we can inject our polyurethane that will lift the concrete back to its original state. The injection system is used with our polyurethane because it quickly expands, is malleable, lifts concrete efficiently, and with its lightweight composition, makes it light underneath to the point that it won’t cause the soil to shift again. Once the polyurethane is injected, the joint’s sealed off with our sealant, NexusPro®. NexusPro® is anti-cracking, waterproof, and chemical resistant, so you will get long-lasting results without worrying about the definite shift or cracking. The process amazed our clients in Brampton, Ontario, because it took less than an hour to complete, the clean-up was immaculate, and the customer service from the initial call to the job site clean-up was superb. This eyesore of a patio has lifted its way to a conversation piece.
