Driveway, Garage, and Porch Need Levelling, Listowel ON
Challenge
In Listowel, Ontario, this home had a problematic driveway that needed to be addressed before it worsened. The driveway had settled and developed numerous tripping hazards and foundation exposure. As a result, many people trip on the concrete when visiting the home. The homeowners wanted to fix the problem so that the foundation could remain intact and that no one would ever hurt themselves on the driveway again. Research had to be done to find the right contractors to level the driveway in a time-efficient, permanent and affordable way.
Solution
With research and comparing, the owners found Canadian Concrete Leveling to complete the work. We had our Project Manager, Andy Moncrieff, arrive at the home to inspect what needed to be installed, where, and how much it will cost. After the quote was given to our new clients, it was time to dispatch our installation team to the home and get started. Kyle and JP arrived and began with our PolyLevel® injection system. The first step in our installation process is to identify where the lowest sinking point of the concrete is. The sinking occurred along the driveway, the porch's base where the foundation was exposed, and the top threshold of the garage. JP went ahead and started drilling holes at the problematic points, ran our polyurethane hose to each spot, and proceeded with filling them up. Kyle was responsible for ensuring the proper footage was distributed and was on standby to ensure it was levelling the ground properly. The levelling took under an hour, and the homeowners were pleased as they often leave the house. The work did not interrupt their day, and they were fascinated by the results.
