Help! My Staircase Leading into the Backyard Needs Levelling! Guelph ON
Challenge
What happened?
This home in Guelph, Ontario, had a problematic staircase that needed attention as soon as possible. When the homeowner was hosting one evening, he tripped down the side staircase and was almost severely injured. This made him worry that more people could fall down the steps if the problems were not fixed. A call was made to Canadian Concrete Leveling, and our Project Manager, Andy Moncrieff, was scheduled for a thorough inspection.
Solution
PolyLevel® Fixing All Worries
Andy began his inspection and realized that there were voids underneath the steps that needed to be filled to lift the slabs back. Moving towards the front of the home, our Project Manager noticed that the threshold of the garage had settled, which will cause difficulty driving in and out of the driveway, water buildup, and tripping hazards. The quote given by Andy consisted of installing our PolyLevel® injection system that will permanently lift the concrete. Bill McKeown and Pedro Parades, our Installation Team started the work by drilling holes into the lower concrete slabs. From there, they covered each hole with a tip that would hold our polyurethane machine in place and prevent the PolyLevel® from coming back out of the application hole. It was time to inject. Once the machine was warmed up, Bill fixed the nozzle of our system in each hole one at a time and began injecting the poly. The great part about our PolyLevel® system is that you can watch your concrete rise right in front of you, not to mention that it is lightweight, hydrophobic, and permanent. The homeowner was delighted with the final result and never needs to worry again about tripping on the steps.
