Sinking Drivewway Causes Problematic Threshold to Form, Kitchener ON
Challenge
Challenge
Sinking concrete is a nuisance but imagine if it happened to your driveway! Many homeowners become frustrated with sinking driveways especially when the problem is right in front of the garage threshold. It’s very difficult for cars to drive in and or out. For this homeowner in Kitchener, ON, the lip that formed at the front of the garage presented tripping hazards and exposed the home's foundation to possible water damage. Our client wanted to resolve this issue in the most cost-efficient yet long-lasting way possible. He discovered Canadian Concrete Leveling and decided to call. Our levelling solution is affordable, durable, lightweight, quick, and can withstand all weather.

Our Project Manager inspected the driveway and the garage threshold. He discussed the benefits of our PolyLevel® Injection System to fix the sinking concrete. Installation specialists drill dime-sized holes into the concrete to inject our high-density, temperature-controlled polyurethane into the voids under the driveway. The polyurethane expands and lifts the slabs to their original pour height. The material comes out as a liquid then expands to double its size, solidifying under the concrete to create a sturdy, level surface. The job took less than an hour to the amazement of our client – he watched the entire installation from beginning to end! The curing process is almost immediate so the homeowner and his family could drive their vehicles into the garage approximately 15 minutes after the work was completed.
