Front, Side, and Porch are Sinking, London ON
Challenge
Challenge
In London, Ontario, these homeowners underwent severe concrete sinking around the front half of the home. The driveway to garage threshold, side walkway, and front walkway had suffered from settlement. When navigating the property, the homeowners often tripped on the lowered concrete. As for the garage threshold, water would pool in front and freeze in the winter, making it treacherous. The concrete work was kept in excellent condition, so replacing it wasn't in the owner's mindset. Canadian Concrete Leveling fits their needs with a minimally invasive levelling procedure that costs a fraction compared to replacement
Solution
Solution
Our Project Manager, Tim Rector, came to the home to best assist our new clients. Based on the amount of sinking and state of the concrete, he recommended our PolyLevel® injection system. This system fills all voids in the undersoil using a high-density, quick-expanding polyurethane and lifts the settled concrete back up to its original, levelled state. The homeowners were intrigued by the system, knowing that the front half of their home would be saved; they could not say no. Installation Foreman Bill McKeown came to the house to revive this sinking concrete. We can fit our levelling system in and begin by drilling small dime-sized holes into the lifting areas. The PolyLevel® system is effective because it is environmentally safe, quick-curing, lightweight, does not interrupt the undersoil, and is hydrophobic, making it an unmatchable solution. Once everything was cleaned up, Bill walked the homeowners around the property to show the results.
