Back Patio and Side Walkway Lift in Markham, ON

Challenge

After heavy rains, this house in Markham, Ontario had water pooling on the concrete patio at the back of the house. There was also water flowing towards the foundation on the walkway located at the side of the house. The homeowner was very worried that this water would begin making its way into the basement causing many other headaches.

After inspecting the property and the concrete, it was evident the water flowing towards the side of the house was caused by the sloping of the neighbour's concrete away from their foundation. The water pooling at the foundation was caused by the concrete sinking about 4 inches and sloping towards the house.

Solution

Our Canadian Concrete Leveling team was able to lift all affected slabs back to their original height by using our PolyLevel Injection System. The 4-inch gap disappeared and water started flowing away from the foundation. This left the customer with a safe and usable walkway giving them peace of mind knowing that the water would no longer pool around their house.
