Residential Photo Album: Branksome Hall School Walkway Leveling, Toronto, ON
A school in Toronto, Ontario, Branksome Hall, has a walkway that had multiple uneven slabs. Some of the slabs were unstable and not leveled with each other. There was also some slabs that were slanted towards a hill, causing the students to slip off the walkway and down the hill during the ice season. This was becoming a serious safety issue.
The owner of the school called Canadian Concrete Leveling to come fix these hazards before the school year started up again. Bill McKeown and his team came in and drilled small holes in the affected areas of the slabs. They then pumped PolyLevel injection foam into the holes to fill the space under the concrete to lift and stabilize the slabs. To make sure the slabs that were slanted towards the hill were fixed, they used a jack to hold up the slab on one side while they use the PolyLevel Foam to fill the void. The Canadian Concrete Leveling team completed the job before school started so that the owner did not have to worry about trip hazards and unsafe walkways for the students.
