Residential Photo Album: Three-inch settlement threatens garage in Inisfil, Ontario
Sometimes there are issues at our homes that are out of our control. Problems can arise that sometimes don’t present themselves until it’s too late, leading to an expensive repair.
A customer in Innisfil, Ontario, noticed a large crack had formed in his garage. Upon further investigation, he also realized the entire floor was sinking. Fearing he would need to tear up the floor, the customer reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling.
Project Manager Joe McColl met with the customer at his home and inspected the garage. The customer was delighted to hear we had a solution that wouldn’t require any excavating.
A date was set for the repair and Foreman Bill McKeown, and Installation Specialist Mark Sealy used our PolyLevel® polyurethane to lift the concrete floor. PolyLevel® is injected through dime-sized holes before it expands beneath the surface. This filled in the three-inch void under the garage floor.
The customer is ecstatic that his garage is fixed. He doesn’t have to worry about the floor collapsing and spent a fraction of the cost he thought he’d have to fork out.
Stairs After
Our high-density polyurethane not only lifted the concrete floor but it also compressed the fill soils beneath, preventing any further settlement
Stairs Before
The mark on the wall shows how much the floor had settled over the years
Protected Investment
