Residential Photo Album: Cracked and Sinking Pool Deck Create Tripping Hazards in Bowmanville, Ontario
Backyards have many uses, and one of them is socializing. People love to have some drinks with friends in family in their backyard, but sometimes, inconvenient hazards get in the way.
In Bowmanville, Ontario, a customer reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling after dealing with sinking concrete for several years. They had a beautiful backyard with an outdoor bar area, but the large tripping hazards were all anyone focused on in the backyard.
Project Manager Kyle O’Brien travelled to the customer’s home and inspected the pool deck. He showed the homeowner our PolyLevel® solution, and a date was booked for the repair.
Foreman Bill McKeown drilled dime-sized holes in the concrete slabs around the pool to start the repair. These holes are used as injection ports for our high-density polyurethane. Once injected, the polyurethane expands and lifts the concrete. Once the slabs are level, Bill patched the holes with fresh concrete.
The customer is very happy with the work done. She had no idea this type of repair was available, and can’t wait to have friends over with a safe backyard.
