Residential Photo Album: Sinking Front Porch Causes Water to Pool in Mississauga, Ontario
Not every home is lucky enough to enjoy a front porch. They’re a great place to gather with friends and family, and they add a level of uniqueness to your home.
In Mississauga, Ontario, a customer decided to reach out to Canadian Concrete Leveling after noticing her front porch starting to sink. The problem was growing worse every year, and water was continually pooling and freezing. To make matters worse, the water was seeping down the foundation wall, and it was only a matter of time before it made its way into the basement.
Project Manager Paul Mendell met with the customer and inspected the porch. Paul showed the customer how we can lift and level the patio back to grade and even seal any cracks or seams. The homeowner was happy to hear about our PolyLevel® and NexusPro® solutions and booked a repair date.
Foreman Mark Sealy started the repair by drilling dime-sized holes in the porch. Using these holes, he injected our PolyLevel® high-density polyurethane beneath the concrete. From there, the concrete expands, lifting the concrete and compressing any fill soils below. Once the porch was level Mark used our NexusPro® sealant to ensure water stays out of any cracks or seams.
The customer can’t believe how efficient and effective the entire process was with Canadian Concrete Leveling. She has peace of mind knowing her home is protected, and she recommends CCL to her friends and family.

The more water that pooled the greater the risk of seepage into the basement
Cracked Concrete
As concrete shifts, the stress can cause cracks to form
