Residential Photo Album: Sinking Concrete Puts Sunroom on Hold in Mississauga, Ontario
A new home project is an exciting adventure. You plan for months and put your heart and soul into the work, so it can be frustrating when something sets you back.
A couple in Mississauga, Ontario, was working on adding a sunroom to their home. They were going to convert their verandah by enclosing the sides, but sinking concrete held them back. The large concrete slab had settled significantly on one side, and it wasn’t possible to build the walls.
The homeowners reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling, looking for a solution to level the concrete. They wanted to avoid the costly and inconvenient hassle of excavating and repouring.
After meeting with Project Manager Paul Mendell, they were relieved to find out they didn’t need to tear up the entire area. Paul explained how our PolyLevel® System uses high-density polyurethane injections to lift the concrete back to the proper grade.
Foreman Kyle McKeown drilled dime-sized holes in the concrete to use as injection ports. He lifted the large slab up to an even grade, giving the customers the perfect base to build their sunroom off of.
The happy couple is looking forward to enjoying their dream sunroom. They were blown away by the short amount of time it took to fix the sinking concrete – they were so surprised they could use the verandah the same day.
