Residential Photo Album: Dangerous Entryways in Blackstock, Ontario
As we grow older, we do what we can to keep our home safe. Sometimes that can mean hiring someone to clear snow, or it could be repairing a walkway.
A couple in Blackstock, Ontario, decided to make the entrances to their home safer. Their garage floor, and several doorway steps, had settled significantly over the last few years. Water was always pooling in front of the garage, and the customers had to be careful where they stepped whenever they used the steps.
Project Manager Paul Mendell met with the clients and inspected their property. Paul explained how our PolyLevel® System could lift the concrete without removing any slabs. They were excited but still a little unsure. Paul showed them a video demonstrating how expanding polymers lifts the concrete from beneath, and the customers were ready to book a repair date.
Foreman Kyle McKeown started the repair by drilling dime-sized holes in the concrete surface. He used these holes as injection ports for our PolyLevel® System. Kyle brought the slabs back to a level grade before patching the holes with fresh concrete. The customers also chose to seal the seam between their driveway and garage floor with our NexusPro® Sealant System for added protection.
The couple is delighted with the work done by the Canadian Concrete Leveling team. They’re happy the concrete is safe again, and they can barely tell that we were ever even there.
