Residential Photo Album: Sinking Patio Threatens Basement in Toronto, Ontario
Sometimes, problems can move throughout our homes. When something does spread, it makes you wish you had dealt with it sooner.
In Toronto, Ontario, a customer reached out to Concrete Leveling to deal with an issue before it caused another problem. His back patio had settled, causing water to pool near the foundation. He knew it was a matter of time before water ended up in his basement, so he knew it was time to fix the concrete.
Project Manager Kyle O’Brien met with the homeowner and inspected his backyard. The client was concerned he would need to remove the old concrete and pour a new patio. Kyle explained how our PolyLevel® System could lift the concrete back to grade without any removal. The customer was thrilled to hear about our repair, and a date was set up for the repair.
Foreman Bill McKeown used our high-density polyurethane to lift the slabs back to an even grade before sealing any cracks with our NexusPro® Sealant System. As PolyLevel® is injected, it expands, raising the concrete and compressing fill soils below. NexusPro® is UV-resistant to provide a durable, waterproof seal.
The customer can’t believe that we were able to repair the entire deck without removing anything. He enjoyed watching the concrete lift before his eyes and is glad he found a cheaper, less invasive alternative.
