Residential Photo Album: Sinking Walkway Threatens Pharmacy Staff and Customers in Erin, Ontario
Customer safety and business liability go hand-in-hand. Clients need to access a business without the risk of tripping, and sometimes more than regular maintenance is required.
A maintenance contractor in Erin, Ontario, was having trouble with the walkway surrounding a pharmacy. Several concrete slabs were sinking, creating several significant tripping hazards. The pharmacy employees were the first to report the issue, but customers started to avoid the area.
The contractor reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling and met with Project Manager Paul Mendell. Paul walked him through our PolyLevel® Injection System and explained how we use expanding polyurethane to lift concrete. The contractor was happy to hear about our permanent solution, and he booked a date for the repair.
Foreman Bill McKeown arrived first thing in the morning to start the repair. He drilled dime-sized holes in the concrete surface to use as injection ports. Bill carefully lifted the slabs, monitoring their height for a level surface. Once we repaired the concrete, we patched the holes with fresh concrete.
The contractor is thrilled with the work done by Canadian Concrete Leveling. He was blown away by the speed and effectiveness of the system, and the pharmacy staff have already expressed their relief.

Walkway Before
Water was pooling in this spot each winter, creating a slippery hazard
