Residential Photo Album: Home Stays Dry Thanks to Our leveling System, Lake Scugog, ON

This home had a sinking back patio in Lake Scugog, Ontario. Water was getting into the house causing the sump pump to work overtime in the spring thawing season and during rain storms. Since the concrete was pristine, the best solution was to lift the patio slightly higher than the original height to have rainwater flow away from the home and onto the lawn. Our Project Manager, Kyle O'Brien, showed our new client the areas that needed to be lifted and the products that would be used to achieve the desired height. The homeowner was ecstatic, knowing our PolyLevel® Injection System is affordable, takes minimal time to install, and is permanent. Our Installation Foreman Kyle McKeown, and Installation Specialist Nestor Cabrera started to level bits and pieces at a time to ensure the concrete did not crack. The job was done efficiently just before heavy rainfall approached. Take a look at the results:

Water collection

During rainfall, the water pools by the door since it is the lowest point. The step up to the back door has grown significantly from the sinking.

Since the concrete is essentially one slab, we have to level a bit at a time or else the large slab would crack.

Achieving the height

On the concrete foundation, you can see a faint line where the concrete used to sit. The slope is also visible on the back, perpendicular wall where it is sloping right to left.
