Residential Photo Album: Front Walkway Levelled Back, Oakville, ON
In Oakville Ontario, a home had a front walkway that had started to sink toward the staircase. The homeowners were concerned that the problem would worsen if left untreated, so they reached out to Canadian Concrete Leveling. Since the concrete was in pristine condition, levelling was the best solution for the homeowners. Our Project Manager, Danny Dos Santos, arrived to better investigate the issue and see what can be done. Based on his discoveries and the multiple inches of sinking, our PolyLevel® Injection System was the best approach. Danny explained how the system worked to our clients, and they transformed from worried to at ease, knowing their stunning concrete would be lifted again without any removal. Our Installation Foreman Bill McKeown, and Specialist Mikk, came to the rescue and started the levelling. The results that turned out were outstanding and shocked the homeowners. Take a look at the before and after shots of this levelling job:
Before #1
Notice how not only is the bottom of the last step exposed by a few inches, but the foundation on the side of the home is also exposed. During wet and cold days, water tends to pool and then freeze which was the main reason why the homeowners called
Before #2
The concrete is sinking so much that it is noticeable from the driveway
After #1
The concrete now sits flush and downward toward the driveway, so any water that begins to land there, makes its way to the driveway and off the property.
After #2
The areas surrounding needed levelling too, such as the side of the home and the column beside the steps.
